Live a Memorable life

Live a memorable life

Use your precious moments to live life fully, every single second of every single day.

Marcia Weider

Our life is truly so precious. Our time here is limited. We all have a purpose. No one else will ever understand our journey completely. We don’t know what’s in store for us in the future. I am all about planning for it. Account for everything from your end but don’t stop living now.

Here are three things that you should consider every morning in the way you live that day-

  1. Stop comparing – Everyone’s journey is their own. There will always be someone who earns more, has more things, travels more, or has more of something that you want. Comparison is a thief of joy. While healthy competition is okay to keep you motivated, in the long run, it is exhausting and doesn’t give you the fulfilment or meaning you are seeking.
  2. What would you regret later – If there is something that means a lot to you, don’t wait to do it tomorrow. We have always wanted a dog. I haven’t had one in the past and was definitely getting prepared for the change in our life. As soon as we had our life in order, we got Jack (a yellow labrador) into our lives. Now I can’t imagine our lives without him. We did a lot of activities on the weekend before but now all our memories are with Jack. I know I would’ve have regretted not having dog earlier. This meant a lot for both of us. Balancing the things that are most important to you is hard work and needs constant attention and work. But eventually it all just works out. Don’t wait until retirement to do the things you love. Take time out today and start checking things off your bucket list.
  3. Purpose – I remember when I was in school, the discussion around getting into XYZ college, and how it was the only way to achieve success. But looking back, all that didn’t’ matter. Everyone has a purpose in their life. Some people know it from the get go and some take a while to figure it out. Once you start working towards your purpose, it leads to the most meaning life ever lived.

Think like the person you want to become.

Life is short, make it meaningful. Live it with a purpose and stop comparing.
