Reflect, plan, do!

Most people overestimate what they can accomplish in one year and underestimate what they can achieve in a decade.

Anthony Robbins

2020 is a few days away from rolling in. It’s time to make those resolutions. We all make them, promise to stick with them and about a month later lose the mojo to keep them going.

This year will be slightly different because your ‘WHY’ will be stronger, bigger, and better than ever.

I will be 32 this year. As I have grown older, My ‘why’ has become stronger and stronger. I want to create a huge impact in this world. To leave a legacy. Each year I refine my goals to do just that.

This year marks the start of a new decade!!

A lot can happen over decade. If you are like me in your 30s – this decade would have meant major overhaul – graduating, getting a job, getting married, having kids. I have moved three continents in the last decade, phew! It feels like you have gone from being a carefree little kid to a responsible adult. To some it’s not quite as drastic except more wisdom and growth. It doesn’t matter what happened in the past, as long as you take the lessons with you and work towards a better present and future.

These last few days, I plan to reflect on the things I did this last year, lessons I learnt, and review my goals. I plan to think about what made me happy, the things that really moved me forward exponentially in terms of personal growth and finances.

Personally, 2019 has been the first year, when neither Jay nor I have been students, and have had full time jobs. That’s when I realized that we haven’t done anything for us together. We have just been so focused to getting our life together and stabilize everything. 2020 is the going to be a year for ‘us’. We plan to take a vacation (this is the first time we are doing this since I’ve known him, we met in 2010). This year is also going to be more health and wealth focused. We plan to run about 4-5 (one full marathon, a few half marathons and 10K races). I am going to be a bit more disciplined and follow training better to beat my previous times. (please keep me accountable).

I also have a list of what I will NOT be doing. Coming soon.

Every month I hope to release our 2020 plan update with short goals for the month. Follow me on instagram for more current updates.
